"I transfer on paper images that bear a figurative and realistic appearance, but that maintain with reality a relationship that is only partially illusory; in their color, forms and shadows. By this I mean that reality is, in fact, enhanced so that the still life tends to transcend the term “still” tending, instead, towards movement. In its color, it departs from reality and assumes tones that are brilliantand transparencies that are other-worldly. In the human figure as well, the action is compelling: the subjects are fully engaged in the movements represented and about to move on. My works are breathing. The intention is not to create abstraction but instead to more intensely imitate reality."
